Displays - Home and Office

One of the things I love to do is photo installations in people's homes or businesses that tell a story about who they are. This installation in a prayer chapel in 4 Market Square, told the story of a church whose vision was to "seek the peace of the city." We included scenes from downtown knoxville printed on acrylic, powerful photographs of ministry and people on the streets, warm framed photographs of the community, floating shelves and decorative items. We framed photographs in old windows that we found, trying to give the sense of a view out into the city. We installed track lighting and chose old or vintage looking frames to speak to one of the church's main values "Ad Fontis", which means "back to the source." The point was to show the contrast of old and new, urban settings and interior warm familial captures.
